Noise Rounds is actively developed, and your feedback shapes future versions. We aim to respond as promptly as possible.
Noise Rounds helps teams audit environmental noise. You take a timed measurement (A-weighted LAeq plus peak level), then log it against the area, activity, and equipment present. The app generates advisory recommendations and highlights patterns across recent readings, and lets you export records as CSV.
Readings are indicative estimates from the device microphone, which is uncalibrated. Noise Rounds is an auditing and quality-improvement aid — it is not a medical device and does not provide certified acoustic measurement.
Why does the app need the microphone?
Only to estimate ambient sound levels in real time. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Where is my data stored?
All audit records are kept locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no tracking or analytics.
How accurate are the readings?
They are indicative. Phone and tablet microphones are uncalibrated and have practical limits at very quiet and very loud levels. For precise work, calibrate against a reference sound-level meter using the in-app offset.
How do I export my records?
On the Log tab, tap Export, choose the events you want, and use the share sheet to save or send the CSV file.
