Privacy Policy — Noise Rounds

Microphone

Noise Rounds uses your device's microphone solely to estimate ambient sound levels (decibels) in real time while you are actively using the app.

• No audio is recorded. The microphone signal is processed only to calculate sound-level values and is never saved as audio.
• No audio is stored. No recordings, clips, or audio files are created at any point.
• No audio is transmitted. Nothing from the microphone leaves your device.

Microphone access is requested only when you choose to take a measurement, and processing stops when you stop measuring.

Data you enter

Any information you add — such as an auditor name, area, activity, device notes, or written observations — is stored locally on your device only. This data:

• Is never uploaded to any server.
• Is never shared with the developer or any third party.
• Remains under your control and is removed if you delete the app.

Data export

If you choose to export your audit records, the app generates a CSV file and hands it to your device's standard share sheet. What happens to that file afterwards is entirely your choice — for example, you may save it to Files, email it, or send it to a colleague. The app itself does not send exported data anywhere.

Analytics and tracking

Noise Rounds contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The app does not use third-party software development kits that collect data, and it does not profile users or devices.

Data collection summary

Noise Rounds collects no data as defined by Apple's App Store privacy guidelines. There is no account, no login, and no personal information gathered by the developer.

Children's privacy

Noise Rounds does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. As the app collects no data at all, it poses no data-privacy risk to users of any age.

Medical disclaimer

Noise Rounds is an auditing and quality-improvement aid. It is not a medical device and does not provide certified acoustic measurement. Readings are indicative estimates from an uncalibrated device microphone. Any recommendations or insights are advisory only and do not replace professional or clinical judgement.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised "Last updated" date.
